The implications of this ruling, from an ethical point of view, is alarming for everyone involved (the Bristish, The American, and the UN). At what point does the international committee step in to prevent the total genocide of a people? When do we as individuals stand up to our governments and demand that they push for right actions? What kind of actions are we willing to permit in our name? In the name of national pride and security? Are the lives of the Chagossians any less valuable than mine? Than yours?
